Autism Treatment

Autism Treatment  – IBI (Intensive Behaviour Intervention ) is an intensive autism treatment program based on the principals of behaviour. Using the principals of behaviour, IBI intends to change certain behaviours in measurable ways. IBI’s goal is to build a variety of communication, social, cognitive and adaptive skills while reducing challenging behaviours. In this autism treatment model a child typically receives 20 or more hours of IBI per week. It has been proven to be an effective and safe treatment option for many individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (The National Research Council’s book Educating Children with Autism, 2001)
